Use Group Finder Share View to promote specific groups by sharing a pre-filtered Group Finder experience — via a direct link or an embedded website widget.
What Is Group Finder Share View?
Group Finder lets your community search for groups using filters like meeting day, meeting time, and any Group Properties your ministry has configured. Share View takes that one step further: you set the filters first, then share that pre-filtered view with others — so they only see the groups that match your chosen criteria.
Pro Tip: Share View is ideal for promoting a specific type of group, such as groups for a particular demographic, ministry focus, or meeting schedule.
Navigate to Group Finder Share View
-
Click Groups in the navigation menu.
-
Click Finder at the top of the page. The Group Finder page will load.
-
Set your desired Group Finder filters (e.g., meeting day, meeting time, or custom filters).
-
Click the Share View dropdown. Two sharing options will appear.
Sharing Options
Copy Direct Link
Selecting Copy Direct Link copies a URL to your clipboard. Share this link via email, social media, or text message. When someone clicks the link, they will see a public version of Group Finder with your filters already applied — displaying only the groups that meet those criteria.
Get Embed Code
Selecting Get Embed Code lets you configure and copy a code snippet to place on your ministry's website. Visitors to that page will see a public Group Finder experience with your filters pre-selected. Before copying the code, configure the two available settings below.
Filter Visibility
- Show Filters — End users can see and change the Group Finder filters.
- Hide Filters — Filters are hidden from end users, ensuring they only see the groups you intend to promote.
Default View
- Map View — Groups are plotted on a map. This only works if each group has address information.
- List View — Groups are displayed as a scrollable list.
Once your settings are configured, click Copy Code and share the embed code with your website manager.
Pro Tip: Use Hide Filters when you want full control over which groups are displayed — for example, when embedding Group Finder on a page dedicated to a specific ministry or campaign.
