Triggers for Groups

Group - Add/Remove

If there are no Workflows, start with Building a Workflow. Otherwise, navigate to the Workflows page, select your desired workflow, select + Add Trigger and select “Group Add / Remove”. In the drop-down box labeled Match a individual who is, select whether the trigger will be run if a person is “Added to” or “Removed from” the group or groups that you select below in your groups listing.

Example: Match a person who is added to any of your small groups (select all small groups in your group listing). Then add the appropriate subsequent actions, like sending the person an email and assigning an interaction to the group leader to call the new member and welcome them.

 

Group - Membership Duration

If there are no Workflows, start with Building a Workflow. Otherwise, navigate to the Workflows page, select your desired workflow, select + Add Trigger and select “Group Membership Duration.” In the drop-down box Match a individual who has been in, select a group or groups and then specify the number of weeks that an individual needs to have remained in that group or groups. Based on this trigger, now select your appropriate actions.

Example: Match a person who has been in the Membership Prospects group for 12 weeks. Set an action to email them with dates and times for upcoming membership preview classes. Also, set an action to assign the outreach pastor an interaction to call the person to invite them to the preview class.
