Why

Filtering and exporting donation data helps church staff analyze giving trends, prepare financial reports, and support stewardship efforts.

 

Before You Begin

  • Estimated Time to Complete: 5–10 minutes
  • Required Role/Permissions: Access to Giving Overview report
  • What You’ll Need:
    • Login credentials
    • Understanding of your church’s fund categories
    • Optional: QuickBooks or financial software for exports

Steps

  1. Access the Giving Overview Report
    Navigate to the Giving Overview report from your dashboard.
  2. Apply Filters Using Buttons at the Top
    Click a filter button (e.g., Date, Category, Group, Campus, More Filters)

  3. Select your desired options from the dropdown
    Click DONE, then Apply to view results
  4. Review Filtered Data
    Filter buttons will change color to indicate active filters
    Click on giving categories or linked dollar amounts to drill down into specific data
  5. Reset Filters
    Click the RESET button to clear all filters and start over
  6. Download Filtered Data
    Click the Download button
    Choose from available formats: CSV, Financial, QuickBooks Export, or PDF (Current Page)
  7. Review Graphs
    • View performance of your top 4 funds and total giving

    • Click fund names along the bottom to adjust the graph view

  8. Use the Tri-Dot Reporting Menu (Reporting Tabs)
    Access contextual actions based on the reporting tab:
    • Filter: Sort by Groups, Categories, Date Range, etc.
    • Print: Generate a PDF or print the report directly
    • Export: Create a CSV or email year-end statements
    • Edit: Update areas like Anonymous user reports or Batches

  9. Customize Report Columns (Reporting Tabs)
    When the report populates, look for the column customization button on the right-hand side of the screen.
    • This opens a panel where you can add or exclude columns from the report.
    • Some report tabs will automatically populate certain columns based on context, but you can adjust them as needed.
    • Use the checkboxes to include or remove fields like User IDNumber of GiftsEmail, and more.
    • Click Reset Columns to revert to the default view.

 

Important Notes

  • Filtering options may vary depending on your church’s settings in General Settings
  • Some visuals in the video overview may be outdated. Updates are in progress

 

Troubleshooting

  • Filters not applying? Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache
  • Download not working? Ensure pop-ups are enabled and your browser is up to date

Q: Can I export data for just one fund or category?
A: Yes. Use the Category filter to isolate data before exporting.

Q: What file formats are available for download?
A: CSV, Financial, QuickBooks Export, and PDF.

Q: How do I know if a filter is active?
