Labels are now much easier to read
and standardized across every check-in method!
What's Included in this Update?
-
We've increased the font size to make labels easier to read on Child Label and Name Tag options. In particular, these options are the most prominent using iPad Check-In. (See Example 1 below).
- Label printing and settings are now standardized across every Check-In method. Labels printed from iPads in particular now include the same improved label options, look, and other settings available - such as the ability to include Guardian Receipt Notes. (See Example 2 below)
Note: Besides the design of labels, this update does not include changes that will affect the check-in flow for your volunteers and attendees.
Example 1: Increased font sizes & a standardized layout, most noticeable on labels printed from iPad Check-In.
Note: While the look & layout has been standardized, small differences remain between label printer brands and unique check-in methods - such as the name being 'slightly' smaller on one vs. another.
Example 2: Guardian Receipt Notes now appear on iPad Check-In Guardian Receipt Labels.
Where can I set up Guardian Receipt Notes?
Go To Settings > Check-In, open a Check-In Station, then scroll down to the Label Options heading.
Is there anything I should do?
If you use iPad Check-in, Yes. Before your next Check-In event, simply close and reopen the Check-In App on each iPad. The update should take about 30 seconds or less.
Next, complete a sample check-in from each iPad to ensure everything is working the way you expect.
What if I don't have time to update my iPad right away?
While the update should take 30 seconds or less, we don't want to cause disruption during a busy check-in time.
To "opt-out", check each iPad and be sure they aren't set to auto-update. Find Instructions Here. (Scroll to the "Turn on or turn off automatic updates" heading).
Important Note: You may have already received the update.
If automatic updates are turned on, your iPad is plugged in, and it's connected to your WiFi, the Check-In App may have updated in the background, even if the screen was locked. (This is how iOS devices are made to function).
How Can I Tell if I Received the Update?
Open the AppStore, then search for "{{LABEL_NAME}} Check-In." Tap the App to navigate to the "App Detail" screen. (Don't tap "Open").
If your App is updated, you'll see Version 2.9.4 on the far right (below).
